Celestial Nourishment Dinner

An evening of conceptual vegan dishes, performance, astrological wisdom and personal readings centred on the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo.

There is nothing more important for the Moon than food, as being fed (physically, emotionally, spiritually) is vital for her to feel safe and nurtured.

When I met Hernan & Renata (Cocina Studio) we immediately thought of doing something together integrating food with astrology. What I loved about them is their curiosity, their love for experimentation, how they celebrate trial and error and their openness towards diversity in food and in life.

We celebrated and explored the total Lunar Eclipse by following the journey of the Blood Moon and understanding how this unique celestial event influenced and impacted the next six months of our lives.

Collaborate with me

We served 12 courses, one for each sign of the Zodiac.

Each dish was created in relation to the qualities of each sign - not only using the herbs, species, fruit, vegetables that each sign rules but also in terms of colour, texture, cooking techniques, flavour and, most importantly, how it makes one feel when in your mouth. An embodied experience of the Zodiac.

Sun, Earth & Moon as light sources

I performed an eclipse ritual - alongside the sound of a beating heart - and during the performance the whole room slowly turned red. We wanted our guests to experience the ‘Blood Moon’ lunar eclipse with all their senses.

Through the evening each guest was invited to another room to experience a short one-to-one reading looking at where the eclipse fell for them. Where this lunar eclipse in Leo was asking for change and attention in their life.
