LUNAR HOUSE
London Design Week 2019
Designer Lara Bohinc created the spectacular Lunar House, a pop up exhibition to mark the Moon landing’s 50th anniversary during London Design Festival.
I was honoured to be invited to take part, creating an astrological immersive workshop in this fabulous set up showcasing Lara’s Planetaria Collection. I shared and discussed about the Saturn & Pluto conjunction of 2020 - a memorable year that will demand a huge transformation.
Her unique work is continuously inspired by space and the planets.
With Lunar House, Lara Bohinc style comes to life through curved ondulated walls mix with period and futuristic aesthetics. The walls and floor are dark petrol blue, like the cosmos itself, and the objects and furniture dot the space like stars in the sky.
When I saw the space for the first time I was amazed and immediately thought that it would be the perfect place to share, discuss and talk about the big Saturn & Pluto conjunction happening in the sign of Capricorn in January 2020.

“2020 is around the corner and features the astrological planetary transits that most astrologers are talking about. On the 12th of January 2020 Saturn and Pluto will have a powerful eruptive encounter in the sign of Capricorn, one that collectively should better serve humanity and personally - depending on our charts - will ask for deep and raw transformation.
Saturn builds structures; Pluto deconstructs them.
Pluto is associated with renewal and rebirth, it represents endings and beginnings. Pluto asks us to transcend, to redeem ourselves, and emerge stronger. It alerts us to a potent force – one that may be beyond our understanding but that at the same time cannot be ignored.
Join artist and astrologer Madeleine Botet de Lacaze (Astrology for Artists) and discover where Capricorn sits in your chart and in which house Saturn and Pluto fall. This will give you insights of where the transformation is happening to you - where the old and rigid self has no other choice than to be transformed. Madeleine will explain what this means and guide you through your personal chart to bring awareness and also see the potential of this new paradigm!”
Lunar House was a complete sensory and spiritual experience.
When workshop participants entered Lunar House they also experienced Pandora’s Jukebox planetary soundscape and Perfumer’s Story olfactory sense which added an unique cosmic atmosphere.
Teaching astrology, and particularly addressing this important planetary event, immersed in this unique sensorial space with such spiritual resonance created by Lara was a unique experience.
