SEA OF THE OTHER — Jupiter Uranus Conjuction

SEA OF THE OTHER

Jupiter Uranus Conjunction

Saturday, April 20 2024

Port de Sóller, Mallorca

〰️

For most of history just getting to Mallorca meant navigating by the stars.

We are thrilled to share the first edition of Sea of the Other - an idea we had since moving to this beautiful island and that today’s cosmic chaos encouraged us to make happen. Who is up for trying something new?

We invite you - on the day of the Uranus / Jupiter conjunction in Taurus - to an unique immersive experience on the historic Bonnie Lass sailing boat where we’ll embrace the innovative energies of the Sky.

April invites the unimaginable - a cosmic push towards a major progress in our lives. We have Mercury retrograde in Aries, a Total Solar Eclipse in Aries AND the Uranus / Jupiter conjunction in Taurus which happens every 14 years.

Where do you have Taurus in your chart? Where do we need to create an upheaval to become more authentic? Where Jupiter expands, Uranus revolutionizes. Where we have Taurus in our chart we’ll be asked to go beyond our comfort zone and take a risk.

Day program includes:

  • A day sailing @bonnielasscharter towards a beautiful Cala up north of the island with crystal clear water to swim

  • Astrology Workshop on Uranus / Jupiter conjunction - with your personalized chart and exercises to embrace this new cycle of breakthrough, creativity, rebellion, imagination and possibility.

  • A nourishing ceremonial dinner by @luna.fridge, inspired by Jupiter and Uranus

  • Stargazing from the sea at dusk. We can’t explain how deeply inspiring it is when the image of the Eagle, the Swan, the Lyre or the constellations of Scorpio, Libra, Virgo emerge before your eyes as the night deepens. How can we open our hearts to the mysteries of the sky?

The Mediterranean is the Sea of the Other.

Many great civilizations were formed on the rim of this giant basin and from the Phoenicians (1500 BC) onwards the sea was often named in relation to others; the sea Between Lands, the Middle, the White, the Roman, the Syrian Sea. Mallorca stood as a key waypoint to the west where civilisations, religions, ideas and people met, fought, traded and loved.

For most of history just getting to Mallorca meant navigating by the stars. This technical skill has only recently faded but its impact has not. On most maps and nautical charts today we see a compass rose in the corner, invented in Mallorca in 1375. Each wave of immigrant, adventurer or colonist brought new gastronomic innovations from wine, wheat, chickpeas, oranges, almonds, saffron, tomatoes, potatoes, paprika to make what today is modern Mallorcan cuisine.

We’ll play with these innovations to create a delicious menu inspired by those who found this mesmerising island by starlight and chose to stay by sunlight.

A day for inner listening, to envision, to connect and to dare.

I hope you can join us!

Madeleine & James

〰️ LUNAFRIDGE was born from our love for the land and the sky. It happened without us even searching for it. We always say we are a formatless collective as we feel it brings us a sense of freedom and openness with what we create. Expanding our practice as we gather and share our vision around food became a vital part of our creative process.

Through food, ritual and cultural symbolism we want to bring our attention to the sky, a territory that we lost connection with. Observing the sky is a practice from which we can find guidance and a state where the heart feels open.
